One of the best things we can do for this country is to not encourage more people to enter this vocation run by abusers and enablers.
They could always admit the aul’ 50.9% of humanity that are currently ineligible to apply for the job.

Remember years ago when they had a retreat in school. They had some trainee priests come along to take part. The girls were mad for them, there was not a one who wouldn’t have had sex with them given a chance. The thing you want the most is the thing that’s taboo.

Not sure what things are like south of the border but in Norn Iron the number of people going to mass has plummeted and priests now have more than one parish to cover.
Opinions on the Catholic church aside, I’ve always had the strong impression that the priesthood is a profoundly lonely life.
If you put aside the declining interest in the religion it just isn’t a very appealing life to live
