Russian here, been to Russian embassy like a year ago. Ye, after not being in Russia for over 10 years, I really forgot the stress of talking to relatively rude officials and interacting with ex-military or whatever dudes at security…

As an Irishman, I have taken a neutral stance on this War in the last half year. When it started I did not know the Geo political background and the issues that were going on there with ethic Russians and Ukrainians.
I don’t support War in the slightest, but if the Russians were merely reacting to a planned offensive in the Donbass to oust or kill ethic Russians living there then I can’t blame them entirely for invading and trying to demilitarize the Ukrainian Government.
They obviously tried to remove the Government in Kyiv but failed and now they are on a warpath with NATO and all the consequences that come with that, which is good for nobody.
I believe that this statement is certainly over the top and not needed and as an Irishman it makes my blood boil.
The Russians are a smart and hard working people but I believe the US has been taking advantage of the result of the Cold War to dilute Russias influence around the world especially in its own region. They don’t respect Russias interests as a great power historically. Europe will pay the price ultimately for Americas policies.
There are two sides to every story but this War has been brutal and could escalate to encompass most of eastern Europe. If we are struggling with refugees now, wait till that happens, it will be untenable.
Surely the government can kick them out after this?, awful statement to make, the neck of them!
Block their gates.. embassy may be russian soil. However, that does not apply to the soil around it.. if there just happened to always be people in the way there theres fuck all they can do.
I wonder if Russian hackers accidentally encrypted our health records today would we get the decryption key so easily?

I have seen many instances of people calling for expulsion of diplomats in this sub and it always embarrassed me, since diplomats are here for diplomacy, regardless or what their hoke could try is doing. Diplomacy through gritted teeth is better than none at all.
But Jesus fucking christ, these cunts are literally threatening our state from their embassy in our country. This is a different level from not agreeing with a country’s actions elsewhere. The embassy has escalated this beyond reason, and it almost seems like they are purposefully trying to goad Ireland into a response. I would have said expell the cunts, but this is so ridiculous it absolutely has to be bait. Utterly craven behaviour.
When you really need to worry about Russia is when they tell you they’re not going to invade and everything is fine.
