  1. Probably belarusians visit Biala Podliaska and Bialastok to buy some nivea and tide xd

  2. Definitely Poland is having many tourists and it will still be growing but second after France? More than Italy?

    Sounds like corrupted data.
Also Italy having 3x less tourists than France is unbelievable.

  3. Your neighbours coming for shopping definitely included here. A lot of guys from Frankfurt on Oder are coming for hairdresser, to have a drink in a pub and so on several times per week. But in theory it should only be included people, who are staying at least for 1 night.

  4. How did they count this? Spain and Italy have less?. Are they counting only airport arrivals or something?

  5. It’s impossible, Polish Tourism was damaged because of the fear that Poland Might be attacked next. This data probably takes into a consideration huge amount of People that are going into and out of Ukraine Through Poland

  6. Personally, I “visited” Poland 32 times last year. I am not a refugee, but I wouldn’t go there if Russia didn’t invade Ukraine

  7. Lol. Sure more people go to France than Italy… In what universe ?

  8. Does poland count work immigration and ukrainian refugees as tourists ? And also expat families, for instance my French friends of polish descent go there every year for summer, and there are huge polish communities in UK, Belgium and Germany. I’m genuinly surprised because for intstance france’s tourism has its fair share of international tourists, but for poland i would have guessed most are european tourists. I am not aware of chinese toursit in poland, most i saw were spannish. And tbh i didn’t see many tourist when i was there for erasmus last year. And i was a tourist so i travelled a bit !

  9. My dentist in Poland says he gets a lot of people who visit from Germany and other countries (myself included) for cheaper dental work.

  10. When I was in a hotel in Kraków there was a large group of Israelis there. I had a cigarette with one of them and she told me there is a thing in Israel where every Jew that wants to become a teacher (and some other jobs, but they were a group of pedagogy students)has to come to Poland to see Aushwitz and other camps, so they have “student trips” to Poland with their professors. I think it makes up for at least a percent of this number

  11. This is 100% made up. Google the results per year, they have nothing to do with those numbers.

  12. Hmm, as much as I do love Poland I find it hard to believe this.

  13. Not even remotely plausible. More than Italy and Spain, plus no Greece on this list at all? Come on

  14. Warsaw is a cheap airport to layover in. Two out of my three trip to Europe I have used that airport as a connecting one.

  15. poland is painfully underrated it sure deserves the top 10 but i don’t think people have discovered it yet

  16. Euhm, Poland the second most visited country in the world ?

  17. It’s true, I once went to Rome in July and it was so crowded it was impossible to enter the subway. Then I went to Kraków and it was also impossible to enter the subway.

(yes, I live in Warsaw and my daughter studies law)

  19. Probably due to Ukrainian refugees coming in and their families visiting them from other countries frequently. I know a few Ukrainians that go back and forth between PL and the UK every few months. One day those numbers will be real though, people will get tired of looking at western europe and will want to see something a little different, then Poland, Czech Rep and Hungary will become a larger tourist destination.

  20. I contribute at least once a year. Other Balts, Germans and surrounding countries contribute too. Very conveniently reachable by car and cheap.

  21. That would explain all the black people I see recently

  22. I think this is caused by the fact that data for poland includes domestic tourists and data for other countries only covers tourists from abroad.

  23. I’m American and I recently visited Poland just because of cheap flight deal. Loved it

  24. Is this always the case or just this last year because of the war?

  25. Makes sense, France has always been the easiest country to get into.
