  1. Except being modernised in technical way, pretty much everything still looks quite the same nowadays. Buildings, street layouts, market, supermarkets… wow!

  2. Like i’ve said many times, the best thing about Kouvola is that Kokkola was never voted as the ugliest town.. This is the reason, when it is new this style looks quite nice but when it is weathered JUST a little bit… If we didn’t have the Neristan, the old town where the oldest buildings are from 1600s, Kouvola would thank us for not being the ugliest. So, in a sense, Kokkola is like a cross between [Kouvola](https://www.targetor.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/kokkola.jpg) and [Porvoo](https://i0.wp.com/images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56666902a976afddc70c09f7/1466233311793-ILCR27KVNFLDER0BEW46/image-asset.jpeg?w=1200&ssl=1). ^((both pics from Kokkola, and about 500m apart..))

I’ve live all over the country and one of the most common things is that people confuse us two all the time, and it is funny how much of the same there is.. despite being on completely different sides of the country. Both cities have also upped their looks tremendously, DaveCad did a video just a short time ago… let me find it… [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qs9QsR1huhw&pp=ygUHa291dm9sYQ%3D%3D)… And the city looks quite nice these days. So, kudos to Kouvola. Now you need to get your culture scene to be wild and full of action 🙂 We did it here, it is doable there too..
