  1. >And the poor suffer as they must?

Like, yes, his wage is too high and should be severely reduced, just like all politicians btw.

But goddamn, some writer dipped their pen in gal today. You can write about this subject without such underhanded statements.

  2. I’m surprised there’s no clear answer on the incomes of these people. They’re politicians so shouldn’t the salaries for all her mandates be public?

  3. When adding up the salaries of the two ecolo leads they are #2, BDW 3rd.

Would be interesting to see mapping compared to amount of voters represented by party.

  4. Well PVDA gets accused of populism because they limit wages for their politicians and PS are hypocrites because they earn like the others.
So yeah I don’t really care.

  5. It’s been long since they’ve actually been socialists. Why bother identifying them with It anymore. There name changed and their policies don’t reflect it either… The political spectrum in Belgium is so thin, nobody actually has some deep ideological beliefs anymore, I feel like.

  6. You have to be very uneducated on politics to think there is anything socialist left in the so called socialist party.

  7. It’s a great circus trick: complain that some make too much money by working or making and selling stuff people want to buy. Votes all around. At the same time get a shitload of money, taxwise, by threats of violence if a person doesn’t pay.

  8. I went to school with one of the Vervoort kids (yes, *that* Vervoort).

Private schools, tutors, chauffeurs picking them up and dropping them off in €100.000 cars (think S class and Audi A8), chefs and live-in maids.

    Parti Socialiste in name only.
