Police officer ‘permanently scarred’ after protecting Stanley Asda worker from violent assault

  1. I was about to comment saying “Watch this perpetrator get a suspended sentence because the violence was a ‘one off’ and they are working really hard to ‘rebuild their lives’ and ‘look after their child'” or something similar.

Thought I would read the article before typing it out – she’s actually been given a community order and a few hundred pounds in fines.

The criminal justice system is fucked

  2. So you can bite an officer and not get a custodial sentence? Because that is what I am reading.

Also, if you are an off-duty police officer, do not be a hero. (rule #17)

  3. >Judge Hood said: “I cannot emphasise enough how close you were to a custodial sentence.”

And yet she gets away with some community service, and a fine she’ll never actually be forced to pay. Fuck this country’s judicial system.

  4. Quote from the article

Judge Hood said: “I cannot emphasise enough how close you were to a custodial sentence.”

And she never got one, so hardly a deterrent. The justice system is totally fucked

  5. If they identified as police officers, albeit off duty, why the hell wasn’t she also charged with assault of a police / emergency officer? Disgraceful sentence.

  6. Ahh yes, more than one count of assault and ABH, but as ever will never go anywhere near a cell, fuck our justice system. No wonder some people act like such cunts 24/7, there are no consequences to it.

  7. Apparently they only lock up protestors nowadays. I guess they must be saving the few cells remaining for anyone holding up signs on the coronation route.
