It’s disappointing to learn that such a large Irish company is still doing business with a terrorist state.
Isn’t it one of the largest export markets in Russia?
Heineken also selling their beer in Russia too. Grrrr. In fact last I read they had bought 11 other companies in Russia so are increasing their business.
It doesn’t really matter though does it
Remarkable how ‘profit’ always outstrips ‘how about doing the right thing’ for so many of these too-big-to-care companies.
The same shitwigs will be waving rainbow flags on Pride month. Just conveniently not in Putins Orcland.
Either way, let’s not forget these bastards at the bar, your weekly shopping and Christmas: skip the Jameson and Heineken and choose a decent brews and any of the great alternative whiskeys.
Slainte!
Send them proper twelve instead
It’s mad to me that so many Irish people (of all fucking people!) don’t give a shit about what Russia is doing to Ukraine. A wee bit of wealth in the country and our own history (invasions, famine, slaughter) is just totally forgotten about and there’s zero empathy for someone else undergoing the exact same shit.
I don’t get alcohol bans. If they want to screw them over, sell them cheap alcohol!
I think it needs to be more than that. Companies selling to Russia should be sanctioned in the EU. This isn’t medicine or something we need to keep supplying, these are luxury goods.
Who?
All hail the free market
Good. Jameson is like bog water and the Russians deserve it.
Love the double standard of how Jameson should stop selling to Russia but not America when they invade some poor country or Israel doing what England did to us to Palestine times ten.
A gobshite of a politician, fuck up Garret
How does selling whiskey in Russia support their political ideals? Surely banning imports from Russia is the correct step.
I’ve been doing this with Decathlon already, but I guess I’ll now include Jameson brands as well: I’ll donate the same amount I spend on these brands to the Ukrainian army. These donations will have greater impact than a one-person boycott of global brands.
Drunk Russian soldiers do not perform as well as sober ones. I see no problem with this export.
That’ll show ‘em
Always remember. A company isn’t a person and it isn’t your friend.
It’s a collection of ideas, materials and resources with the sole purpose of making as much money as possible.
Sure why doesn’t the whole world just stop exporting food to Russia. That’ll teach the common man there. As it’s all their fault after all isn’t it /s.
I thought we have already been importing it via nearby CIS countries beacause Jameson owners stopped selling it. A 0.7 bottle costs now like 32 eur here in Russia instead of 10-15 eur – a prewar price
How about stop sending billions of pounds/dollars/euros to that cross dressing NATO actor Zelenskyy.
…because pulling Jameson off Russian supermarket shelves is going to do what exactly? It would just hurt Jameson sales and would have zero effect on Russias economy, its military or its designs on the Ukraine.
Also… if you have being paying attention at all you would be aware that the sanctions have not worked. Even sanctions on Russian oil and gas. The UAE has been purchasing Russian Oil and Gas through China and selling it above market cap to other countries.
Oh give a rest, did Senators complain that Jameson was being sold to the US market during the Iraq war ?
Let them have that auld proddy Bushmills stuff instead
Why is this only being brought up now?
What the fuck Jameson?! Guess Dad gets a different brand for Christmas this year.
Can we just export all the remaining proper 12 in the country
This will break Russia
Plans for NATO membership were shelved by Ukraine following the 2010 presidential election in which Viktor Yanukovych, who preferred to keep the country non-aligned, was elected President. Yanukovych fled Ukraine in February 2014 during the Revolution of Dignity.
The two most corrupt countries in Europe, Ukraine and Russia.
Ukraine 2014 coup backed by US according to Mearsheimer and Chomsky.
It’s about time diplomacy was used to end the war. The US seem happy to keep firing Ukrainian people into the meat grinder while Zelensky and pals skim 400 million for themselves .

What are we like?
Stop the war ☮️✌️
We’re not in NATO. Stop the war☮️✌️
I’d rather not let a proxy war for profit turn me into a racist.
