Honest question, is the 22k award going to be eligible for tax deductions etc? He earned 420 odd a week when he did eventually start working and I’m assuming that was his gross pay. The 22k award was the 420 weekly pay times the amount of weeks he wasn’t allowed work
The first of many, bleed the coffers dry sure we can afford it now. Nothing else we need the money for, let’s flog it away to anyone who isn’t Irish, we don’t need it anyway sure.
Are other EU countries receiving as many Georgian asylum seekers as we seem to be? We don’t even have direct flights from Georgia as well
Saw a good point on twitter about this, made more eloquently than I’ll make it. Making the safe assumption that his case was funded by the refugees council NGO it’s literally the state funding a body that sues them for compensation for these people. Farcical.
