  1. The Erdogan-bots will definitely try to use this to boost his chances, likely by accusing his opponent of being part of a Western conspiracy.

  2. Ah, yes. The Economist.

They refused to fire Lord Paul Deighton, Chairman of the board, after he was caught in the Panama Papers with hidden accounts.

  3. These kind of approaches give Erdoğan opportunity to increase his popularity by allowing him to play the victim. He will use the same card he used many time in the past, ” Evil westerners don’t want me because I am turning us into a super power.”

  4. If there is anything that sways voters it’s forgein magazines interjecting into national politics! That’s why brexit never happened 🙂

  5. I don’t know if they are such idiots or if they want Erdogan to win. (For example, maybe because they think that Erdogan is more useful in terms of the refugee crisis)

Because Erdogan portrays the whole world and the west as against him in all his election propaganda (although I don’t think so in reality). Such materials are a propaganda tool for him. With this alone, Erdogan can get 1% of the votes.
