I don’t know the man but congrats on the new job Fergal. Can’t say I watch the late late show either but Fergal Bowers is a powerful name for a host. Hope it goes well for him.
Brian O’Donovan, hands down. He can Brian O’Donovan his way through every interview with that crazy random emphasis masquerading as empathy.
I’ll say one thing about him. At the height of Covid, there was some tension between Donnelly and I think the Star newspaper. Anyway, Donnelly’s staff told a Star journalist at a press conference that he/she wasn’t invited, and to fuck off basically and that there’d be no presser unless they left, and up stood big Ferg and says to the handlers either he gets in or I fucking walk amd take my RTE cameras with me. Donnelly and his crew gave in. Fair play to Bowers. Up journalism. Up the parish.
