  1. Tomorrow Italian VHS player manufactures in China media: Watching VHS movies on our players prevents COVID

  2. I don’t really know where he got that story, but the real reason is the leather sector and, in general, the luxury sector. Pharmaceutical and chemical exports, together, can’t match even half of the value of the luxury exports, despite the strong increase in traded quantities.

What I suspect is that we finally manage to repurpose the product we used to sell to Russia and to open new trade routes with china.

We will see if this trend is some sort of “end of pandemia” event or will stabilise.

Unfortunately for us, despite the good trends, the trade balance is still heavily in favour of china.

You don’t need to be able to read Chinese to interpret the curve. China imported massive amounts of pharmaceuticals and medical equipments in general from Jan-Feb 2023. This coincides with China’s 180 degree policy shift on covid.

Allowing infections to spread in a population = increase in overall demand. This has nothing to do with “China not having mRNA vaccines”, VHS tapes, or rhinoceros balls. If anything, there needs to be a vaccine against reading headlines/tweets and making up assumptions.

  4. i don’t remember what product it was but a lot Chinese citizen living in the eu bought and shipped it to mainland, they increased the production capacity by 200 % 2 new factories has been built but now 4~ years later it seems there is no demand anymore for it
