And how to get rid of them. Many of them sitting around the roots of my plans and it looks like they are eating away at tue roots?
Why do you think this one is eating your plants? Doesn’t look like may beetle grub to me, and not all grubs are bad just because they look gross
A baby beetle. Maybe a cockchafer (Maikäfer) larva. They’re spooky little creeps as kids, but when they grow up and buzz the streetlights for a couple of nights, they’re glorious.
Looks like a grub.
I think diatomaceous earth might help. I use it indoors and outdoors for critters. Also, peppermint or citronella oil MAY work. I know a lot of pests don’t like the smell.
That’s a *South American Strawberry-Rosemary Nom Nom.*
Engerling[](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engerling), could be from a lot of different bugs.
Looks like a cutie beetle baby 😊
it’s a nope.
A Scarabaeoid beetle larva. Cute little guy.

Something that needs to be burned
I think it’s the larva of a “Dickmaulrüssler” (Otiorhynchus sulcatus).
