You ll probably get a text message from the tax man with a website where you can claim this money back.
Title isn’t correct: calculation is accurate, they’re just seeing bits of other people’s calculations. They don’t have to pay more, they got a letter stating two amounts, one of which was incorrect.
If you look at the document on MyMinfin you’ll get the right info, but that doesn’t help people who can’t/don’t know how to go online though.
