  1. So you want to abolish all sorts of animal farms and make it a criminal offense to raise farm animals. That sounds like a great idea!

  2. i love bacon, so if there is no one to slautgher it for me, i will do it my self. As i dont have conditions in those big farms, my pig will live in 1.5 x 2 meters enclosure, will not move for gaining fat, sun, pig dream, fun and happy life , pig dream, after all, knife to the throat and yummy meat on table.

  3. People in general eat too much meat and animals husbandry does contribute to climate change – but solves absolutely nothing and causes even more new problems. Is there a petition against this one?

  4. Sorry, me seeing a pigs head getting sliced off with a chainsaw makes my appetite grow 😉👍

    Lašiniai on top

  5. This comment section is embarrassing. Taking pleasure in the suffering and slaughter of sentient beings isn’t cool or edgy, it’s psychotic. And that’s putting aside the literal environmental/economic impossibility of sustaining animal agriculture at any real scale. Y’all are fighting a losing battle and looking like at best idiots and at worst monsters doing it.

Sidenote: I’m positive 90% of the people making “lašiniai lol” jokes would be flipping their shit if this was about dog meat farming.

  6. Oh, so kill the farming economy more than already it is killed herein? Nope. Ain’t going to.

  7. Are there any examples of cost effective and healthy lab grown meat?

My limited knowledge is that it is very expensive, scaling to commercial production level is very challenging and ethics/health benefits are doubtful (using artificial materials to form structure, or using fetal bovine serum, etc.)

I don’t believe we are ready to exclude livestock farming and replace it with lab grown meat and we won’t be in nearest decade. Gradual change might happen meanwhile.

Maybe greenhouse gas emission tax could be the solution for making plant based diet more attractive/accessible.
