  1. >Annual inflation hit a record high of 85.5 percent last October and was just under 44 percent for April.

How do people even survive with 85% inflation? I would go crazy and I would definitely vote against Erdowan. If he manages to win despite all this then Türkiye is hopeless

  2. It’s interesting to see that this guy thinks making the right choices now erases his reputation

  3. Erdogan sounds like Kaczynski boasting about the minimal pay increases. Both forget that you could buy more for the minimal pay 10 years ago than now. People have zero critical thinking skills and exactly this electorate will go vote for them as if their lives depended on it.

  4. Ceausescu also tried bribing the general public with salary increases right before he got, well, it didn’t work.

  5. Das fällt streng genommen schon unter Wahlbeeinflussung und unterminiert die Demokratie.

Nicht, dass sowas den Aushilfs-Sultan interessiert, aber dem politischen Ansehen der Türkei schadet es sicher.

  6. 45% rise but guess what

85% official inflation (the institution that announces it is obviously pro-sultan, hence why it is not legitimate to most extent)

140% unofficial inflation (and it is pretty easy to come up with this data if you compare the prices from last year to this year)
