Turkey European Relations Institute Germany research results (1024 people, face-to-face in 4 constituencies)

    ▪️Erdogan 60.2% (-4.6), Kılıçdaroğlu 34.7% (+12.8), Ogan 3.2%, Ince 1.9%

    ▪️AK Party 50.2% (-5.6), MHP 8.2% (-0.2), CHP 16.5% (+0.9), IYI 4.3% (+1), YSP 17.4% (+2.6)

▪️ Participation in Germany increased by 2.6%. Despite the increase, if the research results are realized, Erdogan votes will increase by only 8 thousand between 2018 and 2023 (432 thousand)

▪️ Kılıçdaroğlu will add 102 thousand to the 2018 İnce votes and reach 244 thousand and gain an advantage.

▪️14% of voters in Germany are new voters (first-time expatriates and new settlers from Turkey to Germany).

▪️The fact that Kılıçdaroğlu is ahead both in the new generation born in Germany and in those who come with a brain drain gives an advantage to the opposition (Kılıçdaroğlu 54%, Erdoğan 43%)

  2. It should be noted that in the last two elections (2018, and 2017 referendum) abroad votes gave Erdogan a 0.2% boost. But a lot of people think this time Kilicdaroglu might get a boost instead since participation was higher.

  3. Still far too many votes for people who don’t have to bear the consequences of their vote. He’s making life hell for everyone who isn’t like him and these fuckers vote for him regardless.

  4. I really don’t understand how we let those people live in Germany without any integration.

I’m talking about those that live secluded from German society, don’t speak any German, watch a lot of Turkish Sat-TV which is where their primary opinion on Erdogan comes from. They do those strange mental gymnastics that allow them to think that Turkey is better a better place than Germany and at the same time think they have to be in Germany cause they couldn’t sustain themselves in Turkey.

  5. Why should the people that won’t experience the consequences of their vote be allowed to do it in the first place? It’s the same situation with Greece, second generation Greek immigrants in America/Australia voting for the absolute worst options possible.

  6. Always the case. Turks in NL go for Erdogan. We have a political party here that is Turkish and gets funded by Turkey and doesn’t ever voice out against erdogan. And the ones who vote for him don’t live in Turkey. Wtf people

  7. Every little bit counts. Erdoğan’s position is shaky, but he will still win a lot of votes. But winning by smaller margins will help to push his final vote total below 50% and, at the very least, push the election to runoff.

I expected Oğan to get a smaller vote total than İnce, though.

  8. Seems like Russians are not the only ones that enjoy having their cake and eating it. Or rather, eating cake and feeding shit to someone else.

  9. Too bad they don’t know Erdogan agreed to provide their bank account information with EU. Love to see they lose their benefits that they are getting from Germany and investing in Turkey.

  10. This is a repeating pattern, and not limited to Turks.

What is it with these fucking cunts voting to send the old country down the drain, when they’ve specifically made the decision to leave already?

I don’t get it — you want a totalitarian theocracy, yet you choose to live in the west? ELI5 please.

  11. That type of people is exactly we should really get rid of, those hypocrites are an major problem for democratic societies

God help Turkey and Turks to get rid of erDogan

  12. It always amazes me how much people who don’t even like their country enough to stay there, will vote for the people who the Turks that actually live in Turkey, are desperate to get rid of.

It has always seemed crazy to me that you can have the same voting power as people who actually have to suffer the consequences, when you don’t live there and have no real intention of going back anytime soon in many cases.

  13. Unlike the wave in Turkey the decrease is more caused by brain immigrants rather than the financial collapse or oppression. Particularly in Berlin and Munich

  14. Turks outside of 🇹🇷 voting Erdogan, why suffer in “foreign land” when you can go live under his regime? I just can’t fathom why you would be voting against common sense

  15. Erdogan‘s gonna get below 50% in turkey proper and will win the election because of turks abroad voting for him. This will bring absolute chaos.

    Heard it here first
