Moscow, Soviet parade in 1990 vs Russian parade in 2023

  1. I know everyone is hating on that one single tank, but that’s the T-34. The type of tank that rolled into Berlin during WW2. But besides that point, it was a very sad parade indeed.

  2. in fact, the tanks were in another city, but they were T-62s, and it was very strange that half of them were already equipped with dynamic protection, and the rest were naked

  3. plot twist, that tank isn’t supposed to be part of the parade. It was on its way to Ukraine to defend against the counter-offensive and just happened to pass through the red square.

  4. Just so you know it, during the whole existence of the Soviet Union, there were just three (3, sic!) instances of this military V-Day parade. It was 1965, 80 and 90, if I recollect correctly. So even during the times of the Soviet Dictatorship it wasn’t as Jingoistic as it became under Putin. Funny fact, this “tradition” of the annual military parade has started just the year when Russia attacked and annexed parts of Georgia. What a coincidence!

The same goes with so called George’s Ribbon, or the whole attitude of “We can repeat” instead of “Never again”. The generational trauma and moment of grieving for dead has been turned into the barbaric ritual of sable rattling, which has served as the ideological foundation for justification of the today’s genocide of Ukranian people. The satanic rule of Putin unveiled the true nature of most of these people, one that I shall not speak of so I don’t get banned.

  5. in fact, it is possible not even the original t-34, but its Czechoslovakian copy. Russia had almost no t-34s left on the move, and they spared 30 pieces from Laos by exchanging them for t-72s. with a purpose just for parades

  6. The difference being the 1990 parade was just before the Soviet Union collapsed and the 2023 parade was just before Putin was defenestrated by his own people. Oops did I reveal the ending too soon?
