The most reputable turkish pollster, KONDA, released their presidential election polls – the opposition is within the margin of error of victory in 3 days!

  1. And apparently İnce has decided to withdraw his candidacy and endorse Kılıçdaroğlu. He announced a press conference for 1400 Turkish time. If this happens, the win is in the bag I think

  2. I just hope for the turkish people, that Erdogan will accept a defeat in the elections. I’m not so sure if he will do this, or if he will come up with something “they are terrorists, lock them up!” instead.

  3. Do people really think this will happen? The only thing that might happen is Erdogan finally dropping the last bits of his democratic facade and go full dictator.

  4. Erdogan will still win. I have no hope for that country. Either way, Erdogan will probably shit himself and release a 45 second long fart like he did on TV.

  5. The Turkish people have lost a lot of trust and goodwill internationally by massively supporting a leader who ruined democracy and rule of law.

  6. Anyone , particularly Turks, watching BBC’s Empire Of Erdogan series. I’m thinking of watching it, well a little, mostly wondering what Turks think of it?

  7. Polling is effective way to gauge the outcome of a free and fair election, but to what extent Turkish election can be categorised as free is debatable, notwithstanding the fact that it’s definitely not a fair election. Then, there is a cloud of doubt of over how willing Erdogan will be to facilitate a peaceful and smooth transition of power. In my subjective experience, people living in functioning democracies tend to forget these crucial factors when judging foreign election – esp in semi-functioning/dysfunctional democracies.

  8. Wait a minute, but so many bots on r/europe were saying that Turkiye is dictatorship. How come dictatorship is loosing elections ?
Maybe tomorrow you’ll say that PKK is not peace loving, gluten-free, love spreading group

  9. Why do they only put the bad polls for Erdogan here? If you look at the poll of polls much tighter. Just posting your good polls doesn’t mean your guy will win. This race is much closer than r/Europe would have you believe.
