I partly blame this on famous cooks telling everyone that thighs are superior to breasts and now everyone is eating them
Dammit, it was supposed to be a secret
Must be well out of date by now too.
Get them from Lidl
And they’re still edible after a year? Colour me impressed.
I always used thighs. Fillets are fine as well. Cost of things these days and funny enough you should see the waste these supermarkets produce every fucking year. Again its us that gets the blame for food waste. I used to buy random things back when you could literally get a full cart for 60 quid in aldi but those days have vanished. I remember saying it as far back as October 2021 that the price of things have gone up. Record breaking supermarket sales, 16 billion deficit as well. Horrible times for people looking to get back on their feet after 3 years of covid.

Yeah, juts go tthem also today, Lidl has theirs selling for 2:79 not so long ago, but have put it up to 3:89 now i think…
I’ve found chicken has gotten very expensive lately. I doubt the farmers are being paid more for it
Where will we all be 10 years from now?
Go to the butchers for your meat I’ve saved myself a fortune and most of them do some great deals plus you’re supporting a local business who is most likely struggling!
And I wouldn’t have bought them then either.
€1.99 in aldi last year
Think it’s up around the €3.50 mark now iirc
“So, what’re they like famous chickens?”
– Joey Tribbiani, probably.
It’s an absolute disgrace
3.20 in Lidl
4.70 for that is cheap nowadays
Yes we have had Avian Flu so I’d imagine there is less birds available, I’m sure that has also increased the cost of production.
The price of feed for chickens has gone up as has electricity, fuel, and other costs for the farmers.
Then at the processing plant electricity has gone up too and the same in the supermarket
Tesco< lidl/aldi
And they’re still not due to expire until 12th May!
That’s like 8€ in Portugal! Wth?!
And it’s still there💀?!
These got me through college lol
€3.91 per kg. Groceries are cheap in Ireland.
Thighs are why chicken Chinese takeaways taste so good. Stir fry nothing else.
I don’t know whether to blame covid or Ukraine, either way, stop buying your meat in supermarkets and find yourself a decent butchers
Crazy how prices go up over time. They should really come up with a term for it.
Tescos seems to be the worst for prices and uses their club card to hid it even though they only price match with it

that would cost 8 or 9 quid in Greece
I’ll rage when they start hiking the drumsticks!
