It really should be split between Poland and Lithuania. With a bonus Bornholm Island being given to Polska as compensation for the Deluge
give it to the Czechs!
Should Poles be mad at Germans for saying Breslau etc.? For Germans it’s Koningsberg.
Or maybe we should ban “Warsaw” and expect everybody to pronounce Warszawa perfectly.
In all honesty, it’s a funny trolling situation, and Russia’s “fury” proves that it was the best decision.
Every language calls some foreign cities in their version. Usually depend on how many relationship the country had with that city in the past and no one really cares. No one is angry because some call it Wenecja, Venedig, or Venice instead of Venezia. But here russians being mad probably proves a point if they care so much. Another chapter of double-standard russia.

I don’t care what Poland does, as long as the end result is always ‘Russia Fury.’

Somebody better tell Americans that Poles are about to invade soon! We even call New York – “Nowy Jork” and Washington – “Waszyngton”!
Soemehow they didnt cry after china changed 8 names (including vladivostok) of russian cities few months ago.
