The International doctor who recently went through the terrible CIRCULAR SAW attack, was targeted once again and had his CAR STOLEN from the hospital parking lot while he was at work and busy with his patients. He and his family are under huge stress because of such targeted incidents.

  1. It’s one of the most commonly stolen cars in the country, hardly a targeted attack on the Dr, on that car type certainly.

Might as well blame every random thing as targeted attacks on him too while we’re at it.

  2. Its always these feckin aquas that are getting nicked or joyrided. Why havent we put legislation in making it law to have immobilisers fitted on all jap imports?

  3. Toyota aquas are a magnet for these snack boxes. Not the owner.

This is race baiting at its finest. The saw story while horrific was completely irrelevant to this.

  4. Nothing to do with his situation. Over two thousand of those cars stolen last year. If you own one and certain ppl spot it, they will follow you home to make note of where it is, or indeed to work. Can be hotwired in seconds.

  5. He should just quit the job and move to a different and a safer country! Ireland is just not a safe place for people of brown/black race at this stage.

  6. Had a work mate with same car that got stolen a few months back; out of interest is it harder to steal say a 20 year old German car like a Passat or Golf?

  7. I really dislike this guys tweet pretending it’s a targeted attack on foreign healthcare workers.

If you still own an Aqua at this stage you are a thick flapper.

Instead of blaming irish people blame the government and liberal views for not putting thieves and scumbags in jail and for a long time. The people on that tweet are really exposing themselves as plonkers especially when they’d be the most vocal against putting criminals in prisons.

    Stockholm Syndrome meets Groundhog day

  8. Nothing to do with him personally. I bought Toyota Aqua and thiefs tried to steal it within first month. It’s an easy to break into and start car.

  9. Anyone knows what the thieves do with the stolen cars? Are they just sold for parts or are they moved to another country? Perhaps just sold on? How does that work? It would seem like a very high risk thing to do.

  10. PSA: If you own a car that has been imported from Japan get an immobiliser and alarm installed immediately. An immobiliser alone will stop the car from being stolen but by the time whatever scooter that’s stealing your car realises this they will already have done significant damage to your car so an alarm is important too.

  11. ‘Nothing to do with him personally’ everyone says, even though the story mentions foreign nationals working in the hospital being targeted. Strange how this is being passed off as nothing

  12. A friend who lived in City West last year was absolutely terrorised by little scumbags targeting her automatic Japanese imported car night and day, she had to abandon the apartment carpark and rent a parking space in someone’s front garden miles away…. Walking miles in the dark in winter just to get to her car before she could drive to a part time job.
Utterly stressful and unfair, scumbags caught on camera several times but gardai could not be less interested and to be fair, not much can be done about it.
Utterly ridiculous to seize upon the doctor’s car theft as targeted for any reason other than his car is worth robbing.

As regards the circular saw attack…. I’m still unclear how an old aged pensioner walking on hand held crutches was driven to such desperate measures to access his own property but I’m sure it’s unrelated to the theft of a car.
