  2. Probably still have somewhere couple millions old złotys . I remember when i was a kid we were playing with those money like from monopoly.

    Also my grandma still talks with millions. So for example “I gave million złoty for those things in a shop” (100 zł today)

  3. Prices were fixed for goods by the communist authorities, including for alcohol. In the late 70s-early 80s, a half-liter bottle of Żytnia vodka cost 103 PLN. This led to a joke about the 100 PLN Waryński bill:

    -Why does Waryński have such a long face?

    -He just found out he’s 3 PLN short of a bottle of vodka.
