Does judenrat mean that Jews were also both victims and perpetrators of the Holocaust? Because the assertion here seems to be that empirical evidence of some opportunistically aided Nazis makes all guilty of their collaboration.
I’m not sure if it’s fair to point at cracks that emerge in society under this kind of extreme stress and claim that this makes that society willing participants in atrocities. It makes it all to easy to frame victims as equally guilty as perpetrators. And trying to paint Poland as a eager participants of something that erased 1/5th of their population seems weird tbh
