  1. This is great and sorely needed. These heroes behind the phone/radio are underpaid, understaffed, and underappreciated.

    I do not see how the proposal of minister Verlinden will combat this though. I only know of one 112 centre that is fully staffed at the moment. Hope they’re also thinking of combating turnover.

  3. AFAIK there are a whole lot of open positions already. So saying “you can hire another 85 people” is actually quite useless if they can’t even fill the vacancies now?

    This is like saying to a poor person “hold on, let me give you a bigger wallet so you can put more money in it!”.
