For me this is actually pretending they didn’t name the city after co-author of Katyń massacre. Whole world still use the old name, so what is our outcome exactly?
It would be better to teach our kids what “Kaliningrad” means rather than changing it’s name, what will be just confusing.
I always wished we had some nice polonisation of the original Old Prussian name (Tvangste). Twangoszcz, obwód twangoski, anyone with me?
Königsberg belongs to the The Grand Duchy of Lithuania
Po co
Krolowiec is now a Russian minority state belonging to Czechia.
Królewiec my beloved ❤
Russian propagandists love this.
Nah, it belongs to the Czechs as Královec already
If we’re going to do this, can we not rename “Rosja” as “Gównomiejsce”.

Why stop at Kaliningrad?
Great news. Well done, Poland. This city doesn’t have anything to do with some russian war criminals
Königsberg
