Most of Krakow’s bike parking lots look like this. Ok better than on the way of blind people. But those were for bikes…. the city should seriously do something

  1. Many cities in Europe have to many scooters. And ban them, instead of banning cars.

  2. can’t you just move a scooter so you have a place to lock your bike?

  3. these are the worst forms of transit. they need to just toss them in a woods. and make it so expensive people don’t use them.

  4. Electric scooter situation proves that most people are dumb af.

If you are unable to properly park an electric scooter you are retarded. There is nothing that makes bad parking justified, you are just an idiot and a burden to society.

Scooter renting companies know exactly who parked incorrectly, people that can’t park should be given a large fine.

Before rental electric scooters were available in my city I thought scooters are not a problem. Since they appeared not so long ago I understood how dumb people are. There is absolutely no logical explanation as to why and how people can park so horribly. Scooter should be parked on the side and not obstruct any traffic or parking spots. It’s that simple and yet I see so many of them in random location and in the middle of sidewalks and bike paths.

Hopefully government will do something about it.

  5. Where this picture was taken please?

I recognize but impossible to remember where :'(

    Help

  6. Zakazać aut, zakazać rowerów, zakazać hulajnóg, zakazać ludzi. Dopóki sie skurwesyny nie naucza.

  7. In Berlin they just would throw them in the Spree.

  8. Actually, there are technical possibility to deal with this problem. Scooters have accurate GPS tracker that could be used to set up places where parking is allowed. With coordination with city council, such designated scooter parking spaces can be arranged…

But this is bad for the business of the companies that operate it, as their main advantage is that they may be left anywhere and picked up anywhere. So the only question is, whether the local government will require and enforce technical limitation to parking in certain spaces.

In Warsaw they agreed to designated places, but without using GPS to regulate it and without city guards to enforce it. So it ended like in Kraków

  9. There’s a reason Paris just banned this shit.
It was always a bad idea to begin with. Freely available, high speed transportation with zero checks and protection and zero responsibility.
It is already like 5 years since I’ve read an article written by facial surgeon (i don’t know how exactly they’re called) from Warsaw about him having to repair multiple messed up faces every weekend after drunken people front flip on those things. I personally know multiple examples of people getting seriously injured on those.
Mess? I lived in a building which had entrance regularly blocked by this crap and I had to throw them to the side to leave the house.
Following the law is also beneath people using them. 20kmph on sidewalk? Sure. Not paying attention to road signs? Roads have signs?
Fuck them and fuck people using them. Seriously. Nothing about living in a city annoyed me more than those shits.

  10. I use them a lot since I have no trams or buses to get to work fast and no money to buy a bike or taxis every day. But i always take care to park appropriately.

Yesterday I almost collided with an idiot on bike because I had to avoid another idiot stepping on the bike lane without reason and the biker had no intention of slowing down or moving to the side slightly as he was using the middle part.

Not even gonna talk about drivers.

There are idiots on every transport vehicle possible. Let’s not generalize or vilify a single one. In the Polish spirit, let’s hate all equally

  11. I use them every other weekend to get back home, since no bus can take me home after 23:00. I park it by the entrance to my block, parallel and close to the fence. Hovewer I often see them in the middle of the bike lane, either standing or lying on the ground. Wich is a big problem, since I deliver food by bike for a living. Are those people seriously not getting fined? You often have to take a photo to prove you parked them correctly, is noone checking those?

  12. They look like a bunch of hooligans hanging out. All that’s missing is a pack of smokes

  13. The fact that you can drive it irresponsibly whilst not having any sort of idk training or a paper that you’re qualified is so bizzare. I had a guy purposely driving really fast by me on campus because he hated me. Thank god he didn’t have a really bad day at the time cause I literally could’ve died in an accident.

  14. Reddit as its best. Saint bikers rulez, everybody else, especially car drivers and scooterist should be banned.

  15. Frankly, municipal police should be allowed to install wheel clamp on electric scooter same way, they are allowed to clamp cars.

Scooter’ companies would instantly implement methods to penalize users who park like this and every one would benefit from it.

  16. So… you’re complaining that parking spots designed for small, 2-wheeled vehicles are used by small, 2-wheeled vehicles.

I don’t see a single bike in sight. People just don’t use those racks for them. 99% of the time, they stand completely empty, and the remaining 1% are permanently chained “bikes” which just serve as free, semi-legal ad space.

This is a much, much better use of the space, because it’s now being actively used by at least… what, 15 people? For something they actually want to use.

There is literally nothing wrong in this picture.
