when an adult chimp is taking a cohort of adolescant chimps out to show them how to forage, they will select a victim if one isnt already put into the role (expectedly a runt) from the group to be target for all the misbehaviour, and should that individual prove able to defend themselves and fight back, the adult will step in to beat them down. this has been observed to continue until the death or expulsion of the target.
the situation this child is in, is just another expression of this behaviour from humans. even down to having another local troop refuse to accept the excluded juvenile.
Frankly this sort of BS has been happening for decades.
The schooling system as a whole would rather victims just shut up and suffer rather and if they dare speak up find themselves being targeted and punished by the so called adults.
Its a disgrsce and just another failing of multiple successive governments ran by people who have no empathy or care for children beyond their own.
A kid at my school stabbed someone with a compass, and all he got was a week’s suspension. Crazy place, really.
