Do the little chapels in various towns have bells in them? I saw a bunch over the summer and I had been wondering about them, especially the last one with the clock, but that’s in Austria.
Ours does, not sure about every single one of them tho.
The tall tower is not called a bell tower for nothing 🙂
Yes, they do have a bell in them. Some are operated by hand and some are motorized with an automatic system to ring at certain times.
An example of their use is, if someone passes away in the village where the chapel is located. Then the bell is rang.
Čudovita stavbna dediščina
Some of the bells were stolen in WW2 by naci forces and melted down and havent been replaced since then. But most of them have been replaced
AFAIK most do, but they don’t have the mechanism to do it automatically. I think they are used on occasions, but not regulary (and I don’t know that they inspect and maintain all of the bells – I reckon that’d be rather expensive).

Yes, if they have this kind of tower then there’s bells inside. You also have [smaller versions without](https://www.radio94.si/radio/content/uploads/2020/11/post/kapelica-rovtarske-zibrse-1-scaled.jpg).
