Well I think she passed a drug test so the cocaine point is not proven at least.
And based on this factor I bet the rest of those facts are also debatable.
Also I’m not sure this is true based on the joining NATO as reckless point as polls show an overwhelming support to join NATO so it sounds like this person just has a black eye
Also when people blame Klaus Schwab for things especially considering the two strikeouts in the other points I showed I tend to thjnk this guy listens to Alex Jones.
She is known to be a bit stubborn and a kind of person who has people wrapped around her little finger, so I wouldn’t call her “easily controllable”. In my eyes she kind of held her party as hostage, because the party didn’t seem to have the determination to confront her dubious actions. She just kept stepping over the line over and over again and nothing was done about it.

But I still think she has some decent leadership skills, and I believe that’s why she was chosen to be the leader of her party.
The coke thing is likely true, she even avoided the test to get the traces off her sydtem. Boozing is definitely true.
Not elected is untrue. The PM got booted for party politics and Marin replaced him. The largest party chief is the pm. Marin was voted to be the sdp gm.
The nato bit sounds like russian internet troll. 0% credibility.
Some trolls squat this thread, btw.
PMs are newer (in finland) chosen directly, it just understanding that chair person of biggest party becomes one. Now when that chair person fucks up (or everybody realizes what a moron he is) something needs to happen when they resign as chair person of party. Usually the new chair person starts to run the goverment and that is what happenned.
NATO she was against it untill peoples opinion started to change, and then it was a good thing.
Cant say anything to the other points, but joining NATO has a huge support with Finns. Sure there is some people who didnt want us to join, but they are smaller group. Kokoomus who just won the elections has been pro NATO since 90s, and our President Sauli Niinistö is ex Kokoomus member and been pushing NATO membership a long time.
So you really cant go out and “blame” Sanna for stuff that most Finns support. 🤷♂️
1) Based on what? Was the writer of this in there witnessing all this?
2) Literally moot point. You can spin same sex parents the way you like, but it literally doesn’t matter.
3) This is some nutjob stuff, NATO had huge (80%) support after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It wasn’t affected from the inside.
The fact that this guy is trying to spin NATO as her decision proves that they know nothing about what actually happened and got their own agenda, which is most likely that of Kremlins. Making this a russian troll.
These statements are non-sense. Some kind of conspiracy theory.
1. There are no PM elections in Finland. PM is designated by the biggest party (if they were able to set-up the government).
2. Being a woman or a LGBT is not a big thing anymore in Finland. Women got their voting right in 1906. Pekka Haavisto, foreign minister, is a gay.
3. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was unpredictable in 2019. Finland had the NATO option since the 1990s. Nobody in Finland seriously considered exercising the NATO option in 2019. There was no public support for joining NATO until Russia changed the Finnish security paradigm by invading Ukraine regardless of their butchers bill (losses). Finlands defence policy was based on the assumption that by having a sufficiently strong military supported by strong will to fight would make the invasion “price tag” high. This would act as deterrent. Ruzzia proved this assumption to be wrong. Thus, forcing Finland to join NATO.
PM is usually the leader of the party that wins the most seats. Not a rule, but a custom. She wasn’t the party leader back then, but she was the most popular candidate.
1. She’s the opposite of easily controlled. She’s quite strong minded and became popular after scolding idiots at a municipal council hearing.
2. Yes, she is a woman. Her parents divorced and she had two moms.
3. There are no ‘higher-ups’ to PM or party leader. This point is utter nonsense.
She is/was one of the most popular PMs we’ve ever had, and went through one of the most difficult times of Finnish politics since the World War. And she did okay.
And she managed to gain more seats, which is quite unusual for the PM party. Other leftist parties however had horrible runs, and thus couldn’t give SDP enough support to form a new government.
All in all, her prime minister run will be remembered positively in the history, and the image boost she did on behalf of Finland is unparalled.
Oh, and what comes to her marriage, it’s none of our business. We don’t know about their agreements, nor whether there was any cheating involved, or what was their reason for divorce.
And while she was seen partying few times, there’s no reason to believe she did any drugs. And I bet there are many men who drink a lot more than she did.
Yes she was never elected,
Yes she told that in her time of power we would never join NATO,
Yes everyone knew she was hated like a LOT (literally didnt know a single person who liked her since she often went rogue and lied all the time),
She being raised by two lesbians… And?
But yes, she was painted as this uprising superstar in the media but in reality I feel like she was some kind of a lazy over paid narcissistic failior. (not a doctor but what it feels to me, Idc after all).
Just the mention of Klaus Schwab running anything makes this full Qanon bullshit
On the last point, she was partying once. And there was no drugs that we know of. And she got drugtests aftwrwards and all negative.
Dunno about the most of the points but she did constanly cheat and was most likely using every known substance to man, was a complete failure and never took any kind of responsibility of any of the actions she or her party did.
Sure, she wasn’t elected either.
“Not all of Finland approved joining NATO, and many other questionable and reckless choices…”
Russian troll.
No.
Finn here.
1. She was not the leader of her party when they won the most votes in the election in 2019. As the former party leader and “fresh PM” got caught up in a scandal, he resigned as the leader of his party and Marin was elected by her party to be the new party leader (by a big majority vote BTW). Thus she became the new PM.
2. Yes, her mother and father divorced when Marin was very little and she grew up without knowing her father, and her mothers new life partner was a woman. Not that that really makes any difference but for bigots. And i doubt “the elite” gives a shit.
3. Up to the very end of the 2023 Finnish parliament elections, there was a big chance Marin’s party (SDP, Social Democrats) could become the biggest political party. They did not and when all votes were counted SDP got the third most votes (meaning they added 3 seats, which is rare for the sitting PM party to do).
Saying she was a disposable puppet is total BS and shows poster has not a fucking clue what they are talking about or is just spewing far right BS talking points. In actually she was very hard for even her own party to reign in and on more that one occasion she was accused of running rough-shot with political decisions over her coalition partners.
Over 80% of Finns wanted to join Nato (polled more than once by independent polling firms) once Russian attack on Ukraine started.
And that decision was supported by most parliamentary representatives from both the government coalition and the opposition (only few elected reps who were ideologically against things like Nato voted against it).
4. I’d also like to know what higher ups other than the PM would have done the decision making in things? The PM is in charge of the Finnish government and all decisions regarding internal matters, the President is in charge of foreign policy with the government (were talking about big decisions, everything else is done by the ministries).
Considering Marin’s government had to deal with such extreme and sudden changes (COVID-19) personally I think they did fairly well. Sure, there were some overreaching, but then again that happened all around the world when governments where trying to stop the spread of Covid and panicking. But all those measures were within the rights of emergency law and agreed to by the parliament by majority vote, and any special rules/laws put in place has been removed.
Overall the post OP is referring to looks and sounds like far right propaganda/Russian propaganda BS spread to try to make western nations look weak. We laugh at shit like this because its so stupid and false.
**TLDR: 1 & 2 sort of true, rest total and absolute bullshit.**
Some of those points have a hint of truth behind them or are based on a rumor, but that little hint is either blown way out of proportions or twisted around so that it sounds like it’s a big thing. I’d say 80% of this is bullshit.
Nah pretty much all there is disinformation.
This is typical right wing propaganda bullshit. Overall she has been extremely solid PM even if there have been a few mistakes (here blown far out of proportion).
Why are you sharing misinformation? You could’ve figured out the stuff without posting this here.
This is nonsense apart from the fact she wasn’t elected PM. Now we don’t elect PM as such but the leader of the largest party generally becomes PM. She wasn’t the leader of Social democrats during the election so yes she wasn’t elected as PM. Although I must add that the leader of SDP Antti Rinne was sick before the elections so she was to a degree the face of the party during the election. But yes Rinne was the so-called elected PM.
When it comes to the points made:
1. She was somewhat radical for SDP as far as her ideology goes. Not easily controllable in any way. Her comments and partying speak for themselves as SDP are notoriously a bit of a stuck-up party like NCP as a lot of older people vote for them. There is a joke about the youth-divison of SDP being everyone under 60 or something.
2. Honestly this was never the talking point with Marin. Her youth was the selling point not lesbian parents. Honestly homosexuality in general isn’t that great of a selling point. We’ve had and still have openly gay MP’s. Heck one of the leading people in our “far-right” party is gay and his husband is black. So a leftist party leader having lesbian parents is like literally not meaningful.
3. She was quite popular which will now most likely hurt the party in the long run. And pinning her for NATO is quite stupid. First of all she was notoriously against NATO as she represents the left wing of her party while there have been many pro-NATO social-democrats in the past. Secondly the only reason she changed her mind about NATO was that there was an overwhelming support to join nato from the people. There is 0 chance Marin would’ve taken Finland to NATO without the war in Ukraine and pressure from the people.
Huoh, the amount of bullshit on this post is staggering.
You don’t really need knowledge of Finland to laugh at conspiracy theorists doing free marketing for WEF.
