  1. The Jagiellonian University (*Uniwersytet Jagielloński*) is a public research university in Kraków, Poland.

Founded in 1364 by King Casimir III the Great, it is the oldest university in Poland and the 13th oldest university in continuous operation in the world.

It is regarded as Poland’s most prestigious academic institution. UJ has been viewed as a guardian of Polish culture as well as a significant contributor to the intellectual heritage of Europe.

  2. It’s kinda funny that it was created my member of Piast dynasty and was re-open by member of Anjou dynasty, but it was named after Jagiellonian dynasty

  3. The funny thing the current Polish president graduated from there and many of his colleagues have cut ties with him as soon as he started violating the Polish constitution on a daily basis. What power does to a person! A huge shame.

  4. And they haven’t updated their curriculum or student-faculty relations since!
