  1. >Sentencing Fatmir Limani, who burgled a house in Leeds, to 18 months in prison earlier this month, Judge Simon Batiste told him: ‘Sadly, the UK has far too many criminals of our own. We don’t need to bring them in from Albania.’

    >It comes as figures obtained by The Mail on Sunday show 75 per cent of Albanian nationals who have arrived illegally have since committed at least one criminal offence in the UK.
    >
    >And 30 per cent of Britain’s class A drug trade is now controlled by Albanian gang lords.

    >Albanians – many of whom arrived illegally in Britain on lorries and small boats – are now the biggest contingent of foreign prisoners in UK jails, with 1,582 locked up here.

  2. Albania is a total mafia state and almost everyone is savvy in criminality. The ponsi scheme which bankrupted practically the entire population a few years back didn’t help. Beware Albanians!

  3. In my local paper, police have been raiding cannabis factories, 90% of the time, the name mentioned is Albanian. And it always says the person who had been caught has no address

  4. No offence to a lot of you, but your nievaty on the current influx of Albanians shows many of you live a sheltered life.

I find the subject of organised crime very interesting, and if any of you had any idea on what’s currently happening within the “underworld” then you’d know why there’s so many of them.

  5. Many Albanians are extremely violent and have completely taken over the drug scene. I know several bouncers and they say that Albanians are always causing trouble in town

  6. I’d been told that Albanians controlled much of the drug business in the UK years ago. I can’t say this shocks me at all…it just shocks me that its taken so long to reach the main stream consciousness.

I work with an Albanian and she feels that everyone is looking at her as a criminal but she’s not. I feel sorry for her that many of her compatriots don’t do much to show the best side of Albania

  7. Time to send these clowns back to their safe European nation the minute they land in the UK. We are literally importing a criminal class at the taxpayer’s expense.

  8. So why can’t we just ship them back from the shit hole they came from? Why are they granted asylum if they’ve got criminal records? Surely were testing there finger prints against a data base no?

  9. Albanians moved into my building late last year, the only reason I even know this is because we began having anti social behaviour and damage occur on a bi weekly basis which got linked to one flat, then another, then another etc.. using people’s ring cameras you can basically see alot of the same faces going to the same handful of flats, there’s about 6 smallish flats but it seems about 20+ people including a few kids live in them. The amount of mattresses we see moved in and out by large groups of men with hoodies/masks on is mad… Even twice we got video evidence of stolen goods being moced into flats etc…One or two of their flats they would rent to local road men for parties and drugs. Eventually neighbours worked out what was going on and the building managers slowly got involved but because on paper they are underprivileged they cannot be instantly removed, plus all their documents and bank accounts are fake names so it’s likely they are not even paying bills and have continued this for many months more. They were asked to stop but obviously said no, but what’s stupid is that if any other resident does not pay rent/service charge for a month they would have people kicking down their door. I should add this is not some sort of run down social housing place either, it’s newer and was meant for leaseholders and renters but I guess over time in order to fill flats they allowed subsidized renting (gov/ council pay for a bunch of the rent if they are on paper in need of benefits from what I gather) and stopped checking people… two of the people in those flats own decent cars, I’ve seen a new range rover with custom matte paint job and an audi.. The cheapest flats were meant to be 1.6k per month but a few people illegally subletting get 2.4k so yeah it’s not some shit hole.

  10. Albania is having a demographic crisis because a lot of young people are leaving the country. I don’t understand what’s going on there and what their long term goal is, but about a quarter of approximately 50000 people (~12000) entering the UK last year are Albanian. There is no war or famine in Albania, however per capita gdp is almost half when compared to its neighbours in Montenegro. Our foreign ministry needs to do more in their work with Albanian leadership to build a better solution or apply pressure.

  11. UK Albanian asylum seeker acceptance rate 56%.

France Albanian asylum seeker acceptance rate 5%.

Some how crossing the channel turns them from economic migrants into asylum seekers.

  12. There’s going to be a lot of people in this thread who say “Oh this is massive evidence of why we need to turn away refugees” without realising that it’s issues like this why dismantling the safe, controlled routes to the UK for refugees was so fucking stupid.

Nobody wants the main entry point for refugees arriving to be smuggler boats. Of course it’s much easier to smuggle fake refugees in that way. But in the absence of safe routes that means that the many legitimate refugees are also forced to arrive by boat, so there ends up being no telling the legitimate from the illegitimate.

The Tories handed people smugglers a monopoly for a function of international law we have to provide – refuge. Turns out people smugglers aren’t as fussy as coordinated refugee facilitators about who their clientele are

  13. I’ve been working on the doors in Yorkshire and know quite a few Albanians. Every single one of them deals drugs sells, guns or has girls prostituting. Just my observation it’s not as if they’re not working just a different line of work higher reward for higher risk.

  14. We obviously don’t have enough criminals if it is profitable for foreign criminals to relocate.

What we need are more good, honest British criminals to keep homegrown gangs afloat.

Or we could legalise drugs, cut crime in half, and fill the hole in the government budget.

  15. We have signed [several](https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/8/25/uk-to-fast-track-deportations-of-albanian-asylum-seekers) [agreements](https://www.infomigrants.net/en/post/45426/uk-announces-accord-with-albania-against-migration) with Albania to extradite / deport those who have no right to be here, and are [claiming](https://www.gov.uk/government/news/milestone-reached-in-uk-albania-agreement-on-illegal-migration) some success, but Albania’s [moaning](https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/nov/02/albania-criticises-uks-lack-of-cooperation-over-channel-crossings) that we won’t share information about the specific routes they use – apparently out of suspicion the intelligence will be shared with the traffickers…

  16. Daily Mail rage bait as usual

Everyone knows that anyone coming here illegally is a doctor.

And if they do commit crime, it’s only to supplement their doctor earnings. It’s not their fault

  17. Theres a load of Albanians near me, selling crack, stabbing folks, nothings been done about them, more are just turning up. The local hand car wash is quite clearly a money laundering operation when every so often a big fancy merc pops up with 5 blokes in it, collects a duffle bag or too and fucks off again,

  19. Interesting that a lot of these crimes are drug related, specifically cannabis. Why not decriminalize cannabis like what’s happening in the US.

  20. The Albanians have practically monopolised the West Surrey cocaine distribution network. If they were forced to decriminalise, which is very unlikely, then unskilled workers of Albanian origin or otherwise could easily join the fleet of Just Snort and Delineroo drivers. But too much money is made through the back door and uptight Britons who don’t like things themselves would rather no one did those things, even though the less uptight will continue to pay cash for a good time.

That sounds like an endorsement of recreational drug use but it isn’t, I’ve just lived through addiction and been around the supply enough to know that it can never be stopped, so the best thing would be to stop focusing on the drugs and start focusing on the bad people, who rob and r**e and kill.

  21. But but but the guardian said they are coming here to work ?? And they are fleeing prosecution ??

But but but they are refugees and all refugees are victims…. But but but

  22. I’m all for a functioning asylum system but someone is going to have to convince me that there are valid reasons for young men fleeing Albania.

  23. Funny how the Mail didn’t run endless stories about the criminal ties of Russian ‘businessmen’ who spent a good couple of decades buying up large chunks of London, hmm?

Interesting that they claim 75% are criminals based on a sample size of just 1500 or so, too.

Almost like they’re pushing a narrative rather than an accurate depiction of reality.

  24. What sickens me the most is the injustice , I have empathy for people in war torn countries fleeing , but Albania isn’t at war and why are the men all leaving?? Also our country is ignoring the thousands of people already in temporary accommodation that live and work here , families being thrown into bed and breakfast and forgotten about why we are housing every fooker that comes in ….that’s not fair in the slightest and its greed and corruption

  25. Another Home Office failing again!

They stopped lorries so traffickers went to boats! Well I never. Albanians can be returned to Albania, every Tory on TV will boast about this, why are they in our jails and why is U.K. taxpayers money being used to feed and house them?

    Is there no forward thinking

When will Braverman get sacked for spending other people’s money prolifically?

  26. Its very easy to call people who vote for a party you dont like “thick” etc. I see an immature left wing outlook on reddit in the main… im betting most of you dont remember the last labour gov term.. it sucked so bad that people still vote tory out of fear of it happening again.. consider THAT for a second….

  27. Too afraid to be called racist in sending them back, if you went round to your neighbours house and trashed the place you’d be undoubtedly unwelcome, it’s only the same principle.

  28. I feel strongly that we have an obligation to help refuges from countries we have had a hand in disrupting – Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan etc
But I have no such feelings for economic migrants from Albania. It takes too long to assess people.

  29. Enough of this. Immediately deported.
Hell, branded and deported, so he cant just come back and give a different fake name.
