What never ceases to amaze me is the number of people who take time to bitch about how expensive a custom roll made by someone in a deli is, but at the same time never take the time to just make one at home themselves for next to nothing and bring their lunch with them.

You’re paying for someone to stand in front of you and put a slice of ham and some egg mayo on a bread roll for you.
You could always make it yourself cheaper.
I think it’s a big pain in the hole that you see this shit post every fucking day. However it is most definitely necessary to post them because otherwise we are going to get used to things being this price. I think some shops are really really putting the effort in to ensure we do get used to paying shitty prices. The more we pay the more we support it. I make my own lunch. If you boiled a few eggs, got some ham, some bread, you could eat for most of the work week on the same price as you pay for your roll at the deli. Again you shouldn’t have to shell out over 4 quid for something so small but it’s time we took it seriously and went and boycotted this type of price gouging. The GALA down from my work place does a chicken fillet roll and a can of coke for 5 quid. I can’t see why other shops do it for 5.50 with just the roll and no can. It’s not all inflation.
You know you Don’t HAVE to Pay that right? You can say, “I’m not paying that price” and walk off. Or say nothing and just leave it down and walk off.
