Yes, Kaliningrad sounds like some soviet ass. Oh wait, its even worst then that.
Królewiec is a W but im still of call it Kaliningrad i guess i need more time in changing my vocabulary… 🤷🏻♀️
What I don’t live near Poland
What I don’t live near Poland.
Korolevets in Russian. Much better name to be honest
Dawno nie słyszałem tak żałosnego gówna, jak to. Mówię o zmienie nazwy, nie o memie per se.
Laughs in old Prussian…Twangste
Królewiec in Polish has “król” in it which means “king” (whole name means “Royal City”), also in German – “könig”, means “king” too (yes, it’s again “Royal City”). But soviet assholes decided to call this city to commemorate Katyn criminal..🤦(Michal Kalinin, who ordered murder of thousands of Polish people).
Twangste is also cool
Královec
According to the documents of 500 years, Krolewiec is Polish land. It’s not russian and that’s enough.
*ahem* Karaliaučius (lithuanian). Still means “royal city”. Located? Well it’s in Mažoji Lietuva (en. Lithuania minor)
the post was at 2137 upvotes for a moment, papaj czuwa nad Królewcem🙏🌄👊
IT lacks krecik on the bottom with královec :p
I’m an Old Prussian “Twānksta” enjoyer
We all know it’s Kralovec
*Czechia
Królobork would’ve sounded cool too. -bork is a really common suffix in northern Poland
It’s an extremely ugly city – at WW2 it still had a cool town hall and tower, and the Soviets demo’d it to make room for brutalist monuments and blokis.
Once we clean out that Russian missile base, it’s gonna need alot of work, and an entirely new population.
Kallingrad was named honoring the guy who murdered 20000 Polish POWs.
It sounds beautiful and fancy.
Too bad it’s Russia.

Loved hearing the kremlin cry about this
Can we take it back, make it the European capital and call it Króleberg to piss off the Kremlin?
Krolewiec could be a brand name. Most likely of a beer or smth

Kungsberg
Königsberg forever
Time for Stanisławów instead of Iwano-Frankiwsk
The Hussars Awaits
👀🇱🇻🤝🇵🇱
Only except that’s like calling Istanbul Constantinople
Next level.
