Britain Is Dead

  1. What I struggle with at the moment is not just the state of things in this country, so many strikes, services not working, various different concurrent crises all happening at once, but also being stuck with a government that no one voted for, seems completely unwilling to even recognize its own lack of mandate, yet at the same time doesn’t seem willing to even acknowledge that any problems even exist, let alone is acting in any sort of productive way for the good of the nation. Its absolutely maddening yet they seem to be getting away with it, *again*.

It would be one thing for them to be saying we’re less bothered about a mandate and more interested in enacting some policies to deal with our current national situation. But no they are literally just sat in the halls of power, for the sake of it it seems? So they can brag about it to all their country club friends in a few years time, and rinse as much money from the public purse as they can get away with in the meantime. Its frankly disgusting and upsetting.

  2. It is a moan-fest, and the author was probably hard while he was writing it. But Britain _is_ dead – to me. I was born in it, but want nothing to do with it any more.
