21. That’s irelands rugby anthem because northern Ireland play with Ireland so they made a different one as some people wouldn’t sing the regular one

22. Fun fact: written by Phil Coulter, who also wrote the 1960’s hits “puppet on a string” and “Congratulations”. He also contributed incidental music to the original Spider-Man series.

    But Ireland’s Call is awful.

28. That guy giving it socks, this is his lifetime high point. He never felt prouder of his community, of his country. He was swelling with pride after this for days.
    And I’m cringing listening to this, it’s actually hard to watch/listen to.
    Amazing how the same thing can elicit such different emotional responses.

29. Ireland’s Call is not the national anthem. Whoever downvoted this, the national anthem is The Soldier’s Song or in Irish it’s Amhrainn Na Bhfiann.
