Never seen it and it never turns up on free TV must get round to finding a good example online.
Sir Richard Bucket! 😂
According to some people I know who worked in the film and tv production industry in Ireland, this film was starting point for a lot of people in the industry. A lot learned the skills needed here and then got other jobs, not just actors: assistant directors, set and costume design, camera and lightning work. Just like how American Tail being animated here helped create an small cartoon animation industry.

Anál nathrach, orth’ bháis’s bethad, do chél dénmha!
That’s a blast from the past. I have Excalibur, a broad sword, the chalice and a few dragons. All in the shed.
There was a bar in Waterford called the Reg, right next to Reginald’s tower. They had the suits of armour, swords, axes etc from the movie.
They also had some posters from LOTR. would have been late 80s early 90s.
From memory, John Boorman made the movie as he couldn’t get the greenlight for making LOTR.
Credit to Arthur there for how quickly he processed going from trainee squire to King of England.
