As other people have said, fair fucks for doing this job at all. I’d never have the balls. As a musician, I can have a bad gig but just plough through and that’s it — quiet crowd, meh. But for comedy, if you don’t get a laugh every 20 seconds, it’s absolute death.
On this particular bit, I’d say it’s fairly hackneyed. No doubt you’ve seen Eddie Murphy’s *Raw* special where he does a rather similar bit on [cheating](https://youtu.be/qLFrdv2R8ng), with an equivalent payoff even down to the cadence.
