“The obese woman was evacuated from her home yesterday for health reasons. She has US citizenship and has lived in the French town of Stenay on the Meuse, near the border with Belgium, for 20 years. The woman had previously refused all medical assistance. At least 60 people arrived at the scene to perform the operation, which had been planned for several months. A special ambulance for obese people was called in from Belgium and used to transport the woman. The operation took an hour. Walls and ceilings of the house had to be demolished to get the woman out and transferred to a hospital in Nancy. Some streets in the area were cordoned off.”An intervention of this type, with such complexity, has never happened before in France,” Bernard Burckel, a member of the local government told France 3.”
Why she needed to go to the hospital? Is she OK?
I read Americain and was very confused
This is what happens when you place an American within an 8-frituren radius, in a country where this kind of operation won’t cost her a clean half million dollars. We will now have to shift our equally obese Brit on the other side to Holland, so our small country doesn’t tip over.
All the super fat people need to have a seperate room for medical emergencies. Moving a 400KG person is crazy. It needsa whole team and a lift to move it outside the building if the stairs are too narrow.
This lady must really have a huge heart. My heart would never be able to pump all the blood around between that fat.
Her own fault. Shouldn’t even have bothered to help her imo.
Hon hon hon, le fatti!
Most probably serious mental issues. Very sad. In the end, I hope she gets the care she needs but it may be too late.
And who said the belgian army doesnt have tank recovery vehicles anymore?
I hope they have some plankton on the menu in that hospital.
What I’m wondering, what’s so special about this ambulance? Wider interior, stronger châssis, springs and dampers,…?
It blows my mind that a person can weigh as much as 5-7 whole other people.
