I hate how intense the smell is. I don’t even live close enough to see the field or anything, but if I even dare to open a window my apartment is filled with the smell.

I grew up in the countryside in Canada and believe me cow shit is the best smelling shit. I actually enjoy it to a degree.
I lived in Switzerland as a kid now whenever I drive by a farm field and smell the cow shit it makes me nostalgic 😂

One of our new foreign employees started in the spring some years back. After a month he timidly asked in one of our coffee breaks: “Does it always smell like sh*t here?”
I’ll never not find it pathetic, that people call themselves “expats” because in their little mind they can place themselves above other immigrants with it.
Just call yourself an immigrant. There’s nothing wrong with it.

As a Swabian I know my fair share of Gülle flavours.
I have a theory that this smell has a benefit to the human’s nerve system and induces relaxation.
Every time I encounter it I have this weird calm feeling.
