Rail strikes cynically targeting Eurovision, transport minister says

  1. And the chaos on Northern rail lines over the last few years? Who was that cynically targeting Minister?

The biggest joke is that Eurovosion will finish long after the last train has left Lime St, but a criminally neglected rail network is absolutely fine outside of a one-off event.

  2. More of the whole “I completely agree with these people having the right to strike/protest/etc but I just don’t want them to do it in a way that puts anyone out. Why can’t they think about how this affects me, the poor minister for transport/Brexit/etc?”

  3. Targeting an event for 10,000 attendees seems a bit of a stretch.

Or could it be the transport minister trying to defend himself?

  4. > Mr Harper said the RMT should be standing “in solidarity” with Ukrainian rail workers targeted by Russian President Vladimir Putin in war-torn Ukraine.

Doesn’t Mr Harper feel disgusted hiding behind the backs of Ukrainians?

  5. The prime function of industrial action is none life threatening economic damage.

This action fitted that bill nicely , it’s just a TV show .
