  1. My grasmachien is also counting on KMI.
With all this rain my garden is starting to look like the grasslands of Africa. Soon I’ll have grazing wildebeests.

  2. I can really see the forecast struggling this time of year. One hour says that this weekend will be full rain and the next hour is sunshine all the way

  3. We are counting on dry weather for tomorrow as well. We are holding a party in our garden for the 1st communion (1e communie) of our daughter.

  4. Let’s hope so! We have buurtfeest tomorrow and moederdag BBQ on sunday.

Hopefully our luck from last sunday extends. All the predicted thunderstorms and not a drop fell out of the sky.

  5. Saturday:

Sunny in the morning with some mid to high altitude clouds for most of the country.

Clouds and possible convective activity (rain and/or thunderstorms) will form south of a line Aachen-Reims as of midday. With about 5mm of localized convective rain (tall puffy clouds with large rain droplets below them) in the areas around Marche en Famenne, Bastogne and Durbuy.

This cloud activity will develop during the afternoon and its edges will drift North. The main activity will be East-South-East of a line Amsterdam-Paris by 15:00. This means about 2mm of possible rain in the areas surrounding Namur, and a bit of rain in the areas surrounding Hasselt too. The areas around Marche and Durbuy will keep receiving possible convective rain.

By 16:00 the edges of this active area will be reaching a line Antwerp-Mons.
Possible 1mm of rain in the surroundings of Leuven, and 3mm in an area surrounding Charleroi-Couvin-Durbuy.

By 18:00 most convective activity will have disappeared over the whole country, with just one stubborn but very weak rainy area around Charleroi.

    The temperatures will be:

-06:00 : 9° for the South, 10° Center and 11° for the Coast.

-10:00 : 16 degrees for the South in the morning, 17 for the center and 16 in the coast.

-12:00 : 14 to 16° in the South areas affected by rain. 18 to 20 in those not affected yet. Center will keep 19 to 21° and the coast will drift down to a windy and chilly 17.

-16:00 : 14 to 17° in the South, with colder temperatures in rainy areas. The center will stay between 18 and 21°, with the lower ones being the rainy areas. The coast will remain about 16 to 17° with chilly wind.

-19:00 : barbecues will only be possible in the area Hasselt-Brussels-Ghent-Turnhout by this time with their still nice 18°C, as the rest of the country will have plunged to a cooler 14 to 16°.

All in all a relatively good day outside of those pesky localized rain clouds. If you live around Antwerp, get your barbecue stuff ready, it should be a great day.

The coast will be chilly and windy, would not recommend going, except for a walk with your coat on.

The night, we don’t care, do we?

Tell me if you want me to do Sunday or if I’m just wasting my time.
