  1. Everything that to make any decent change now policy wise the benefits would only be seen after their career is over. This is the sad truth in my eyes.

Vienna has a huge proportion of renters who were not born in Vienna, the city has grown massively in the last several decades, yet you can still earn double the average wage and qualify for affordable rental, at about 600 or 700 Euros a month for an apartment. The apartments are built to a very high standard (Ballymun of the 80s and 90s they most definitely are not). Unsurprisingly 60% of people avail of this. So there is a solution that can most certainly be adapted to Irish circumstances. No excuse for not implementing this.

  3. There are systems for a reason in this world. Economic stability, interest rates, growth. It’s not all a conspiracy to keep you in little boxes, alright? It’s only the miracle of consumer capitalism that means you’re not lying in your own shit, dying at 43 with rotten teeth.
