  1. I love that we live in a time that ‘free’ has actually became a cost to the consumer. We have to be living in a Truman Show type of scenario we settle for everything and I’m still baffled that Leo is Taoiseach again, out that collider in CERN has done something to society. Life feels different, something has changed

  2. Its the app, not the owners. The app bids up prices automatically based on a variety of issues. E.g. maybe in this case there are a few apartments being rented by the same person, and there is only one left – so app automatically increases the price to ridiculously levels. Its like that car someone was offered for rent last summer for €20k. Its probably not real pricing, just an algorithm gone mad.

  3. At first I thought that it’s not that bad for a one bedroom apartment in Ireland at the moment. Then I saw it was for 1 night! What the hell?

  4. Ha, you should have seen the state of rentals when the open happened up on the north coast. 10 grand for a fucking week in a bungalow previously rented for 30 years by locals kicked out on their holes by opportunistic bastards

  5. Where is this. I don’t believe the price is ‘real’. It’s either a mistake or a money laundering operation

  6. Rented here as a student 25 years ago. We paid 100 quid a month each. They were selling them for 30k in 2010. I thought about buying one.
