This largely makes sense. In my experience only immigrants who engage in Croatian politics are nationalists who’re (obviously) not well adjusted.
People who emigrate and are mentally healthy find friends, form families and become a part of society of host countries. They can’t be bothered to follow politics that doesn’t impact them anymore.
EDIT: to add, they usualy haven’t been in their country of origin in some time or were even born abroad, that lack of croatianes in a sense they usualy replace by acting as bigest nationalists, de facto neo ustase. I think it links solidly to what you see from Turks in Germany with lone wolves orgs and such.
and they vote fore spd for sure
Weird, I think in Finland about 25% voted for Erdogan.
*Stuttgart
Now now boys, just because the wast majority of turkish imigrants in germany seem to support an islamic nationalistic presidency in turkey, does not mean that people who are against mass imigration are not neonazi dirty biggot scumm. I am sure these turks in germany will vote for a progressive germanic future! /s
All jokes aside, this is sad.
What makes over 60% vote for Erdogan?
Easy to vote that from Germany
It’s interesting for sure. Probably because they don’t suffer the same economic problems in Germany that other Turks are currently facing in Turkey.
Focus shouldnt be on Turkey’s emigration, it should be on nearly 50% Turkey’s population in Turkey who vote for Erdogan after all he has done.
This is sooo fucked up
LOST
I can not understand. Wether they are Turkish or not, why would someone who does not live in Turkey have the right to determine my future?
____
Except for erasmus and bussiness trips, anyone who lives out of the country should not have the right to choose the fate of the country. After all, they do not suffer the consequences of their decisions unlike us.
___
Plus, Turkish diasporas in Europe are total idiots as you all know. This is the result when they have right to vote.
Just wait until you see the percentage of voters who voted for Erdogan in earthquake hit areas!
Also worth noting: Of the 1.5 milion people in Germany eligible to vote, about 700k voted. Of which 65% voted Erdogan.
So 30% of the total eligible to voters prefered Erdogan.
Never understood why you are able to vote for a country you Likely never going to live in again.
If you don’t want to move there in the next 5 years then why are they allowed to vote for it.
They don’t have to live trough those consequences.
Important to note that around 2/3rds of German Turks don’t vote
also important to note in the last election, German votes accounted for 0.2% for Erdogan
Fuck everyone who votes for the country they do not live in, they all make me sick, their only concern is profit. Europeans, you have seen the Turks in your country, know that most of them are thieves, vigilantes and people who love theocrats. Damn, I wanted Kemal to win, I wanted him to bring democracy back to the country, they stole votes, they gave false information and the high election board is working for the AKP. There is no democracy in such a country, there is no point in living here, Erdogan is thought to have stolen $300 billion from the people, imagine the rest. I could probably go to jail for writing this.
Meanwhile Estonia enjoyer: 3.78% for Erdogan. It ain’t much, but it’s honest work.
Why do the people who choose to live in a secular country prefer the non-secular candidate for their home country? This doesn’t add up.
Pathetic
So much **hypocrisy**.
They live best lives in Germany, wear best clothes, drive best cars, eat in best restaurants, while they vote for their compatriots in Turkey to continue being under the “king” Erdogan.
I am sad, but not surprised. When I used to live in Germany (for ~6 years), I could clearly see that most of Turkish there are actually coming from rural places of Turkey and, thus, are more conservative and religious.
Well fuck those who vote for the Voldemort like dude
das tut einfach so weh.
I never really understood why people who never been in a country or haven’t been in it for number of years can easily just vote. Shouldn’t it be tied sensisbly to if you haven’t been resident for few years in country then you can’ vote. Wouldn’t apply for those overseas on government business or those just tempory overseas i.e students.
