Well I don’t know about you guys but personally I think that was worth every penny of the £35m.
The app was a complete waste of time. Remember when it was banned for from the App store for breaking rules, and the Government blamed Apple. Despite everyone saying from the beginning it breaks the rules
Never downloaded it in the first place. Did many people even still have it on their phones?
It was compulsory to have this app on your phone to access many building sites during covid. One day I turned up to a site which was pretty much empty. A couple of days befor3 somone had come to site to do a job but wasn’t able to do the task so he sat in the canteen all day on his laptop. Turns out he had covid. Every person who went in or near the canteen that day received a notification on the app to say they needed to stay at home. They ended up having to shut the site temporarily all because of 1 man.
Billions well spent!
People still blame furlough when it comes to reckless COVID spending but choose to ignore the billions the government gave to their mates for PPE or spunked up the wall on a useless app. The Tories really took us for a ride while they had the perfect opportunity.
