You can see the reflection of another good sign in the second one. I forgot to get a shot of that.
(Unbelievably, Reddit blocked the first image as NSFW when I tried to upload it on its own)
I remember a pub in Cork city years ago that had a large M and F on the doors, with much smaller lettering after.
Turns out they weren’t “Male” and “Female”, they were “Mná” and “Fír”(which for non-Irish speakers, is the exact opposite) 🤦♂️
I just want to know where to go to take a dump, I don’t need to be bedazzled with graphic design excellence when I’m touching cloth.
One in Spain had shoes stuck to the door, semi high heels for the women’s and matador leather ones for the men’s (they were almost identical at first glance for non-Spaniards)
A pronoun toilet
I once went to the toilets where the signs were FIR and MNA.
Which is when I discovered I might be dyslexic.
One door said “Blah.” The other door said “Blah, blah, blah, blah…”
I think there’s a place to be creative, signs are not it, people are looking for information in the most simple way.
I heard a story about a nightclub that had the scientific symbols for male and female in neon.
The bloke telling me the story said he couldn’t remember which symbol was male in his drunken state.
After pondering for a few minutes he realised one neon sign was blue and the other was pink.
IIRC male is a circle with a diagonal line extending at 45 degrees with an arrowhead whereas female is a circle with a line straight up with a cross.

So it’s all gender without a urinal?
A toilet and a urinal?
On first glance, it looks like hieroglyphics.
After a few beers I can’t be bothered with those “interesting” toilet signs and just use the right door.
penis exclamation point
They often use circle and triangle in Poland to designate male and female restrooms. Never knew which one is which.
Here’s two I saw in an office in Bulgaria a few years ago
