Wouldn’t parties number 2-4 make a majority coalition?
Damn, every Pole in this sub assured me that everybody hated PiS and they were obviously going out next time! And I got laughed at for mentioning echo chambers… Your little bubble of young, pro-european friends doesn’t represent the Polish population, this poll here does.
Fucking 800+ now of social benefits, because you have to account for inflation that you caused giving out 500+
Even the oposition has to propose their social giveaway programs to be even able to compete, they will never be voted out.
New to Polish politics, what’s PSL’s political leaning?
r/europe should ban single poll results. Only average and tendency matters.
Largest opposition party is basically locked to ~25% because of the elitism, dumb stunts of politicians/affiliated people (“if we win we’re going to privatize strategic industry” or “Poland is partially responsible for holocaust” or “child benefits benefit only social pathology”) and lack of an actual propositions aside from “we’re not PiS”.
Additionally they’ve started losing the hardcore fiscal libertarians to Konfederacja (which is a coalition of anarcho-capitalists, nationalists, and anti-everything types), after moving towards more progressive policies.
**PiS** – hardcore “patriot” party with socialist approach to wealth redistribution and hardcore christian-conservative outlook, pro-centralization, has large voting base outside of cities and young women. Currently held hostage on EU required judicial reforms by its anti-EU junior partner (Solidarna Polska) who are also under investigation by Supreme Audit Office for most recent corruption cases.
**KO** – party of huge cities, tends to see “folk” patriotism as something passe, pro-privatization of state companies, very libertarian when it comes to wealth redistribution but lately turned more towards center. Recently they also made a sharp turn towards progressive social issues despite party protests. For the last 7 years they were predicting immediate collapse of state and economy (spoiler: it still hasn’t happened).
**PSL/Polska2050(Third Way)** – coalition of centre-agrarian and “moderate” parties, currently trying attract centrists, moderate PiS votes and environmentalists. In my opinon the best way to stop political polarization and brake defacto two-party system in Poland (but it’s not going to happen).
**Left** – coalition of ex-communists, socialists, champagne socialists. The “working class” electorate is largely gone (went to PiS) due to most politicians being just cultural progressives with fiscal liberal outlook or LGBT+ activists. Has huge voter base in the group of young women living in cites.
Despite what redditors say neither party is the “educated people’s choice”, there were more people voting on PiS last elections which skewed the proportions, the real difference is not something extraordinary.
not bad, but Solidarna Polska (or what’s the current name for these planktonic terrorists?) shouldn’t have been a separate option.

don’t be like Turkey at the end!
that conservative parties have same name names ” law and justice ” in turkey and poland. once they get the seat, they never leave it.
What are the laws for police to have legal powers to protect victims from perpetrators? Like protect a woman from her husband?
My mother told me that a husband more or less can hit his wife, is this true in Poland?
When is the election?
I think a part of it is that when it comes to foreign policy re: Russia and defense the Law and Justice Party are very strong in that area and even people who don’t like them tend to concede that they get that element right.
The other problem is that Tusk is not the right person to lead the opposition, he has too much baggage and comes across as quite elitist to a lot of people. The opposition should have a public face of someone like Rafał Trzaskowski, someone new and likeable. They would need to stop bickering amongst themselves as well.
So Law and Justice will probably get across the line.
With these results PiS would not be capable of forming a government
For anyone interested, the average of polls stands as follows:
If these were the results on election night, it’s likely PiS would lose its parliamentary majority. Whether the opposition could form a working coalition is another question.
There will be agenda here that poles vote PIS cause they are dumb and Christian but in fact thats mostly on their social Policy and rising minimum wage.
If oposition stopped its elitism and would ackonwledge problems of poor people instead of bashing them for voting PIS they could get a lot of those people votes. But hey better to fuel PIS propaganda and reperat misstakes from the past

Its [United Surveys for RMF FM](https://www.rmf24.pl/polityka/news-najnowszy-sondaz-wyborczy-pis-wygrywa-ale-nie-ma-wiekszosci,nId,6764690#crp_state=1), they got only ~50% participation in elections, so there is potential for change in any direction.
