Came across this family heirloom. Supposedly made by my great grandfather and worn by my great grandmother and later grandmother. I know it’s a Norwegian Kroner in the middle, but not sure what the significance of all the other stuff is or if it was really made by my great grandfather. Anyone have any ideas?

Well it’s looks homemade alright. The coin in the middle looks to be made for the 100 year anniversary of the constitution.
It’s one of those coins people collect to celebrate occations. That one was for the 100 year celebration of the constitution. The coin is called Mor Norge which means mother Norway.
If you Google ” mor Norge mynt” you can see more pictures.
And “mor Norge brosje ”
You can see more pictures of it as a broach.
It says “ja vi elsker dette landet “ that translates to “yes we love this country “ the first sentence and title of our national anthem.
It seems like the decorations around includes scenery that would fit with different verses of our national anthem. And the coin depicting”mor Norge” “mother Norway” a strong lady in a Viking dress.
