I have been trying to figure out what you call “Flank Steak” in Polish, so I can tell my mom about it and ask her questions about the dish I’m cooking.

I used google translate and told her I’m buying “Stek z flanki”, and she looked at me like I’m an alien and said: “Nie wiem co to jest”

What flank steak is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flank_steak

What is this called in Polish? Are there different names depending on the region? Is there maybe an older name that might have been used in the 1970-1980s but not today? Thanks for any insights!
