Wie heißt diese Dinge? It’s in the bathroom. Like a drying rack for towels or something. I want one.

  1. Beheizter Handtuchhalter – a radiator that serves not only as bathroom heater, but also to get your towels warm and cozy.

  2. Pro Tip: hang your pyjamas over it. Nothing like climbing into warm clothes before sleeping.

  3. We have one. Wild that you never have seen one. If you get some hooks from Kik, you can then hang facecloths, gloves, towels, underpants, whatever you want kept warm…. So cosy.

It also prevents mould forming in your bathroom, but don’t use it to dry very wet items or you will make the issue worse!

I just had one fitted connected to the tails from a normal radiator if you have central heating. Easy and cheap swap.

  4. It’s the height of decadence. Towels so warm they toast your nipples like a medium rare steak. Try putting your underwear on it before putting them on. Bliss

  5. I’m curious where you’re from since towel heaters are totally normal all over Europe, and have been for at least 30 years!

This one is slightly unusual in that it seems to be electric, usually they are connected to the central heating system like a normal radiator.

  6. “Handtuchheizkörper”.

It translates to Towel heater/Towel radiator. You can get electric ones, but if you already have a radiator in your bathroom and if you renovate anyway I strongly suggest getting a “normal”, water fed towel heater. A lot cheaper on the long run.

  7. Sprossenheizkörper – as „Sprossen“ are the horizontal rods of a ladder and is looks like a ladder.

    Fellow German.
    Bittesehr 🙂

  8. It’s actually made up from two components, the towel rail/radiator section and an electronic insert that screws into the bottom to heat it, they can run off electricity or you can plumb them into your existing central heating through a thermostatic valve, although i believe that people often run them electrically as you can then have warm towels independent from the rest of the heating system.
The insert component is a Heizstab/elektroheizstab. And they come in different power ratings depending on the size of towel rail you want to heat
And the towel rail bit is a Badeheizkörper.
It is also very possible that you can get an all in one standalone electronic system but to the best of my knowledge the “heating stick” is the way to go.
If you do a search on any hardware store site it should give you what you’re after.

  9. I’ve never seen those as electric. We always had them connected to the central heating.
We just called them “Heizkörper” like the other ones outside the bathroom.

  10. I love my towel warmer. I call it my towel toasties and get out of the shower to two warm towels everyday. It’s magical

  11. It’s officially called Elektro-komplett-Badheizkörper.

I work for a sanitary wholesaler and we move a lot of these.
